Design the Official 2026 ElizArts Fall Art Festival Artwork!

Do you love the vibrant creative spirit of Carter County? We're inviting local artists to help define this year's ElizArts Fall Art Festival by creating the official festival artwork that will become the face of our biggest community arts celebration of the year.

This Year's Theme:

The Beauty of Carter County

We encourage artists to interpret the theme in their own unique style. Whether you're inspired by our rolling mountains, the Watauga River, changing autumn leaves, historic downtown Elizabethton, local wildlife, Appalachian traditions, farms, music, or the people who make this community special, we want to see your vision.

Your artwork must include the words:
Fall Art Festival

The words "ELIZ Arts" may also be incorporated if desired. The selected design will become the official visual identity of the festival and will be featured throughout our community and promotional campaign, including:

Festival posters & flyers
Yard signs
Social media graphics
Facebook Event cover
Event banners & signage
Volunteer and festival t-shirts
Website and digital advertising

Artist Recognition

The selected artist becomes part of the event story, and winner receives:

A dedicated Artist Spotlight on ElizArts social media
Recognition in festival press releases and media outreach
Credit on festival promotional materials whenever practical

Submission Requirements - Deadline July 18th 11:59p

Please include:

• Artist Name
• Artwork Title
• Artist Statement (100 words or less) describing your inspiration
• High-resolution digital artwork suitable for print

Artwork File Requirements

To ensure your artwork can be used across all festival marketing materials, please submit designs that can be adapted into the following formats:

Social Media
• Facebook Event Cover: 1920 × 1005 px
• Facebook & Instagram Feed: 1080 × 1350 px (4:5 ratio)

Print
Artwork should be suitable for:
• 11" × 17" posters
• 8.5" × 11" flyers
• 18" × 24" yard signs
• Rack cards
• Event banners

Festival Shirts
Please include a single-color vector version of your design for screen printing.

Accepted vector formats:
• SVG
• AI
• EPS
• Vector PDF

For the shirt artwork, please avoid gradients, transparency, or extremely fine details to ensure a clean, high-quality print.

We encourage artists to create one strong master design that can be adapted across all of these applications.
